The following organizations are organized alphabetically.

American Conservation Experience (West): Opportunities to take part in challenging outdoor projects in many of the most beautiful National Parks, National Forests and wilderness areas.

Ancient Pathways (Arizona): Offering experientially-based courses in Desert Survival and Bushcraft Living Skills.

Animas Valley Institute (Colorado): Programs are nature-based soul-initiation, whose central goal is the descent to soul for the purpose of maturing or deepening the ego, rather than healing it.

Aprovecho (Oregon): Experience live working examples of appropriate technology, sustainable forestry, organic agriculture, permaculture, and the interconnectedness that is shared by these systems and with the land.

Arcosanti (Arizona): A four-week workshop that combines academic and experiential learning as participants study Paolo Soleri's concepts and designs while contributing to the building of the arcology (architecture+ecology).

Audubon Expedition Institute (Various Locations): A traveling undergraduate and graduate degree program which offers education that fosters ecological awareness and personal and societal transformation.

Castle Rock Institute (North Carolina, Australia, & New Zealand): Combines coursework in religion, philosophy, literature and art with backpacking, climbing, biking, and paddling.

Cottonwood Gulch Foundation (Southwest): Sponsors educational wilderness expeditions and outdoor programs that promote scientific, historic, and cultural discovery as well as a knowledgeable environmental ethic.

Conservation Law Enforcement Training Program (Massachusetts): Training for law enforcement positions in environmental organizations.

Earthlands (Massachusetts): Programs are designed to integrate people's ecological, social, spiritual, economic, & emotional aspects to empower all to live more creatively, sustainably, and consciously with the Earth and with one another.

Ecosa Institute (Arizona): Semesters in sustainable design and summer workshops in permaculture and alternative “eco friendly” construction.

Ecoversity (New Mexico): An educational center, which explores and demonstrates sustainable living and ecological design.

EcoVillage at Ithaca (New York): Comprising an intentional community and a non-profit educational organization, the project aims to develop an alternative model for suburban living.

Greenpeace Organizing Term (D.C. & California): A semester of advanced training for student activists. It's action-filled and the best hands-on training for students to become environmental leaders.

Grand Canyon Semester (Colorado & Arizona): Join research faculty in the social sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities to examine the challenges facing the people in this ancient and modern environment.

Hawk Circle Wilderness Education (New York): Offers a variety of programs that teach you to live in the wilderness using skills perfected by trackers and guides.

Headwaters Outdoor School (California): Teaches skills Earth People have used throughout time to survive in kinship with the Earth.

High 5 Adventure (Vermont): Dedicated to helping individuals, schools and communities use experiential education as an effective tool for improving the way they live, learn and work together.

Institute for Global Sustainability (Vermont): Prepares global problem solvers to help re-envision and redesign our world through a multitude of courses (offered both on-campus and online) and stimulating events and activities.

International Wold Center (Minnesota): World leader in wolf education and offers a diverse array of unique educational experiences

Lost Valley Intentional Community & Education Center (Oregon): An intentional community and educational center dedicated to learning, living, and teaching sustainable, ecologically-based culture.

Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre (West Virginia): An accredited post-secondary school that trains people for a career in the horse industry.

National Outdoor Leadership School (U.S. & International): Offers wilderness education courses from 10 days to full semesters in the world's most spectacular wilderness areas.

North Cascades Institute (Northwest): Connect people, nature and community through science, art, literature and the hands-on study of natural and cultural history.

Northwest Connections (Montana): Engages in community based projects which assist land managers and land owners in better understanding, conserving, and restoring critical habitats.

Organization of Biological Field Stations (U.S. & International): Field station and marine lab with over 200 members offering college credit courses in; ecology, botany, ornithology, marine studies, tropical biology and many more.

Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (Colorado): Leading scientists and students arrive at this remote field station high in the Rocky Mountains to work side-by-side studying the still-wild ecosystems of this rugged, yet fragile land.

Rocky Moutain Field Institute (Colorado): Dedicated to the preservation and restoration of wildlands and key natural areas through exemplary field-based programs.

SEAmester Program (Atlantic Ocean): Provides students with the unique opportunity to study the marine environment, while immersed in nautical traditions.

Shoals Marine Laboratory (Maine): Dedicated to undergraduate education and research in marine science.

Sierra Institute (California, Hawaii, Caribbean, Guatemala): Offering interdisciplinary environmental field programs to undergraduates from around the country.

SOLO Wilderness Medicine (New Hampshire): Courses are designed to teach the skills and knowledge for a safe, successful rescue operation or outdoor venture.

Tahoe-Baikal Institute (California): Connecting passionate people with formative, place-based watershed education in freshwater ecosystems.

Teton Science Schools (Wyoming): Connecting people, nature, place and education through various programs.

University of the Wild (Massachusetts): Combining contemporary and ancient wisdom, the curriculum integrates self, community and the natural world.

Wild Rockies Field Institute (West): An educational organization that offers affordable, high quality, academically rigorous field courses in some of the most beautiful and interesting landscapes.

Wilderness Awareness School (Washington):Itensive mentoring courses for youth and adults as well as a home-study naturalist training course that provides opportunities for ongoing studies of the natural world.

Wildlands Studies (Varies): Participants join backcountry study teams as working field associates, helping field study specialists search for answers to important environmental problems.

Yestermorrow Design/Build School (Vermont): Over 100 hands-on courses per year in design, construction, woodworking, and architectural craft and offers a variety of courses concentrating in sustainable design.
