Recommendation 1:  To develop an institutional policy for purchasing

 

Activity 1: Assist those who do the purchasing find environmentally and socially responsible products. Some examples:

a.  Sterling Store: sweatshop free Sterling-wear

b.  Technology: energy efficient computers, monitors, etc. (ex: Energy Star)
c. Maintenance:  biodegradable floor wax, recycled content paper towels (all); make sure all cleaning products are non-toxic and biodegradable (especially stop using Metaquat Germicidal Cleaner).
