Recommendation 4: (SLRP—Academic Program) To develop Sterling Curriculum to reflect more fully the values of stewardship and sustainability and to become a model of campus sustainability.

 

Activity 1:  To create a Sustainability Coordinator position to coordinate campus greening projects; increase awareness about campus ecology through outreach, education, research projects, and Work Program positions; and assist the Admissions and Development offices in promotion of our efforts.

 

Activity 2:  Survey the ways in which these issues are currently addressed in existing classes over the four-year continuum.

 

Activity 3: Based on results of survey (Activity 1), increase profile of campus greening across the curriculum

 

Activity 4: To work within the current committee structure to assist the College in advancing sustainability in such areas as current operations, academics, future visioning, and community development.
