Tuition and Fees

Sterling is a year-round college, operating on a “continuous semester” system of summer, fall, and spring semesters separated by three or more weeks of break time. There is no requirement to engage in the year-round curriculum; many students attend for the traditional fall and spring schedule. All federal and Sterling College student financial aid programs are available year-round.

For students who do remain continuously enrolled tuition and room & board costs do not increase. To be continuously enrolled means a student attends two-and-a-half or three full semesters in a 12 month period. A half semester consists of six to eight credits, and a full semester from 12 to 15 credits.

The year-round system is designed to broaden the College’s curriculum, lessen the overall expense of a Sterling education, and potentially reduce the length of time it takes to complete a BA degree.
